Eleventh (11th) and twelfth (12th) grade high school students interested in participating in concurrent enrollment at ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ (LU) must meet one of the following criteria:

• Have a minimum 20 ACT composite score OR
• Have an unweighted GPA of 3.25 OR
• Have an unweighted GPA of 3.0 and rank in the top 50% of their class

Required documents:

• Official high school transcript and ACT scores.
• Completed and Signed Concurrent Enrollment Course Selection Form

Selecting courses:

• Your LU Academic Advisor can assist you with selecting courses from the below list.
• If you are taking dual credit courses, your High School Counselor can help you with course selection.

Courseload:

• High school students may enroll in a combined number of high school and college courses per semester not to exceed a full-time college workload of 19 semester credit hours.
• To calculate workload, one-half high school unit shall be equivalent to three semester credit hours of college work.
• Non-academic high school units are excluded from workload calculations.

Course placement:

• Students may only take classes in the areas in which they have an ACT sub-score of 19 or higher OR have an unweighted GPA of 3.25.
• Students must have the appropriate ACT sub-score or GPA prior to enrolling. A minimum ACT sub score of 19 in English, Math, or Science is required to enroll in corresponding subject area courses.
• A student with an unweighted GPA of 3.25 will not have any curricular deficiencies and will be allowed to enroll in any courses.

Continuing concurrent enrollment:

• Students need to submit a new Concurrent Enrollment Form prior to enrolling each semester.
• To continue concurrent enrollment in subsequent semesters, concurrently enrolled students must maintain a cumulative college GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• If a concurrent student’s college GPA falls below 2.0, the student will be permanently disqualified for concurrent enrollment in any future semesters.

Enrollment confirmation:

• After receipt of all required documents and concurrent enrollment processing, via email, the high school counselor will be provided with a copy of the student’s enrollment.

Establishing IT credentials:

• Following LU admission, the student will receive login credentials to their myÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ access portal from the OSU Helpdesk.
• In the myÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ access portal, students can access their Self Service, Canvas, LU student email, and other available resources. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that they can login to their myÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ access account.

Tuition waivers:

• High School Seniors are eligible to receive a tuition waiver for up to 18 credit hours of concurrent coursework beginning the summer before their senior year.
• High School Juniors are eligible to receive a tuition waiver for up to 9 credit hours of concurrent coursework beginning the summer before their junior year.

Books:

A list of required books or access to electronic books will be available at a later date.

Cost:

LU Concurrent students are responsible for all costs including books, mandatory fees, and any other academic fees associated with courses in which they enroll. Following is a list of costs that are associated with LU concurrent enrollment:

• $250 + Cost TBD to include: per three credit hour course tuition/fees, distance learning fees, and books charges.
